This front-line team leader represents Brian-Kyles on job sites.  This position directs teams of 2-5 team members ensuring jobs are completed to company standards in both the most time efficient and safe manner possible. Team Leaders will routinely interact with clients throughout the job, from the introductions at commencement of job in a timely and proactive fashion.  Team Leaders proactively seek to solve client problems and / or issues before they arise as responsible stewards of landscape property investments. This position transitions into winter employment through assisting with snow and ice related duties.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

·         Accountable for safely leading and directing a crew of 2-5 personnel in accordance with company standard operating procedures.

·         Monitor progress of properties / job sites and provides guidance to team members; answers questions.

·         Prepare truck for the day – load and secure equipment on trucks / trailers.

·         Perform routine safety inspections of vehicle, trailer and equipment used by crew daily and complete any needed maintenance.

·         Maintain a clean work environment for team member/clients

·         Document issues / concerns via company app and make sure appropriate Field Supervisor is aware and assist with the resolution.

·         Document and refer maintenance requests as they arise to mechanic in a timely manner via the Samsara app.

·         Responsible for assigned tools for team each season.

·         Perform various snow removal labor function during snow season.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

·         Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance

·         LIC certification

·         Valid Ohio Driver’s license with the ability to meet company insurance requirements

·         Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) or the desire to obtain one.

·         Ability to pass background and drug screenings

·         Experience in using all types of landscape equipment; mowers, trimmers, and other hand-held equipment.

·         Ability and desire to advance within our growing organization

·         Effective communication and leadership skill and the ability to interact with team leaders, team members, and clientele.

·         Maintain a clean, professional appearance and demeanor.

Supervision

Directly supervise a team of 2-5 team members, oversees the safety of the team, delegates daily job duties, assists with ongoing training.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

Must be able to utilize applicable tools and equipment necessary for the job, as well as basic computer / office equipment. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, sit; talk; and hear.  Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and up to 70 pounds occasionally. The work environment is outside, exposed to varied weather conditions on a regular basis.
